End-to-end digital platform — Squarespace with custom HTML/CSS/JS, bilingual content, and a live VTG booking system powered by Supabase.
01 · Brief & goals
A club site that books, informs, and feels like the park
Haugesund Golfklubb needed more than a brochure. The brief was a full digital presence: public pages in Norwegian and English, a VTG course booking flow with confirmation, and separate admin areas for instructors and site administrators — all sitting on Squarespace with a custom backend for bookings, sessions, and roles.
- Deliver an end-to-end web presence on Squarespace with custom HTML/CSS/JS.
- Support bilingual content (NO/EN) without fragmenting the experience.
- Ship VTG course booking with colour-coded instructor calendars and a clear confirmation flow.
- Give instructors and site admins separate, secure areas — backed by Supabase (bookings, sessions, roles, RLS).

What shaped the build
Centred navigation
- A calm, centred nav that keeps the club’s offerings easy to scan on any device.
- Clear paths to training, courses, booking, and park information.
- Space for bilingual switching without cluttering the chrome.
VTG booking system
- Colour-coded instructor calendars so availability reads at a glance.
- Confirmation flow that reassures members after they book.
- Instructor and admin areas kept separate, with roles enforced in Supabase RLS.
Visual identity & photography
- Every photograph on the live site is original Hughes Media work.
- Hero film and stills set the tone for Kolnes — open, green, welcoming.
- Design, development, and integration handled end-to-end by Hughes Media.
Squarespace + Supabase
- Public experience on Squarespace 7.1 with deep custom code injection.
- Bookings, sessions, and roles live in Supabase with row-level security.
- Lightweight custom JS — no heavy frameworks — for calendars, booking, and admin UI.
